By accessing or using the BlueLogbook website and service (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BlueLogbook Ltd ("BlueLogbook", "we", "us", or "our").

BlueLogbook provides a digital logbook platform for sailors that enables users to record passages, receive satellite-verified passage certificates, and calculate carbon footprint estimates. The Service is currently in a pilot phase and features may change without notice.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts at our discretion.

You retain ownership of the passage data and other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant BlueLogbook a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

You represent and warrant that your User Content is accurate and that you have all necessary rights to submit it.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Submit false or misleading passage data.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.

BlueLogbook uses satellite-derived data to independently verify passage information. While we take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee that verification results are error-free. Verified Passage Certificates are provided for informational purposes and should not be relied upon as the sole record for legal, insurance, or regulatory purposes.

Carbon footprint estimates provided by the Service are calculated using industry-standard methodologies and the data you provide. These estimates are indicative only and may not reflect actual emissions. BlueLogbook makes no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of these estimates.

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, design, trademarks, and content created by BlueLogbook, are owned by or licensed to BlueLogbook. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property other than as necessary to use the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlueLogbook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
